Emergency Overdose Education & Narcan Kits:

Community Solutions for Behavioral Health is a DPH BSAS Community Naloxone Program Affiliate. Naloxone, brand name Narcan, is a medication used via nasal insertion to counter act the negative effects of opioids during an overdose. We are able to educate your organization’s staff, including volunteers, on harm reduction and emergency response to opioid drug overdose. This free education includes a Narcan Kit and ability to distribute Narcan Kits to the public if desired. If you’re interested please contact us to learn more and schedule at your location.

Suicide Prevention Training; Question Persuade, Refer (QPR)

Community Solutions for Behavioral Health is a sponsor of the QPR Collaborative on Nantucket which coordinates certified QPR Trainers to provide this education. This evidenced informed training teaches actionable methods for any of us to help prevent suicide.

Per the QPR Institute, their mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical, and proven suicide prevention training. The signs of crisis are all around us. We believe that quality education empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know.
